Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. After training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd felt more confident following the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated during the first round. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were affected. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing a 1st-round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. Aspen ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then able to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen won and beat Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She defeated Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO in the second round. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the first round and earned a performance of the night bonus. Her first major fight came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 on ESPN. In a recent replacement match for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She lost the fight via majority decision.
